Saw Stereolab last night at La Zona Rosa, with Leah, Starr and Eugenie. I’m not a huge fan, but the show was fun.

I wonder how long it will be until old mobile-phones are be sought after by photographers and collectors who are striving for that ‘retro’ aesthetic.
Yeah, the idea is this: There’s a point along the curve of bad phone-camera photography, right before the pic gets so bad that it makes the viewer vomit, where the curve spikes and becomes art. It’s like the Uncanny Valley, but I call it the Bokeh Hill.

The same effect exists in audio. With just the right amount of luck or inspiration, even a Casio-tone can sound perfect.
